It’s been a busy year at LNG Canada and this season provides the opportunity to reflect on what we have accomplished with the continued support of the community. We issued a request for proposal to identify an engineering, procurement and construction contractor as part of a strategy to ensure our project is as cost competitive as possible. We also removed the former methanol terminal infrastructure at site so we’re in the best place possible to start construction should our Joint Venture Participants decide to take a Final Investment Decision.

Thank you to the hundreds of Kitimat residents that attended our open houses, showed up at our Good to Know sessions, or dropped by the Recreation Centre for a free swim. We are delighted that we could continue to support organizations in the community that are delivering important services and programs— from the Kitimat and Terrace Community Foundations, to ACTUA math and sciences camps, Kildala breakfast program, Northwest Community College, Kitimat Understanding the Environment, Kitimat Valley Institute and the Kitimat Food Bank. Thanks also to the many people who pursued their studies and received one of our scholarships.

To all of you this holiday season, thank you for your continuing support and positivity for the LNG Canada project. From all of us at LNG Canada, we wish you a happy holiday and the best for a healthy and prosperous New Year.
