Beginning October 17, 2018, we will use an open burn method 24 hours-a-day for three to four weeks to dispose of wood waste during our site clearing activities. We’re committed to minimizing the impact to the community and will be evaluating the venting and wind speed conditions daily. If conditions are unfavourable, burning will be terminated for the day.

We have been working closely with the District of Kitimat and the Fire Department to ensure we have taken the appropriate steps for both fire prevention and fire preparedness on the LNG Canada project site.

We are committed to keeping the community informed of our activities. If you have any questions or concerns, email us at feedback@lngcanada.ca or call us at 250 639 3229.
